Eric Ewell serves on many boards and committees through out the Greater Pittsburgh Region.

                          Eighth Avenue Place

Eighth Avenue Place is a Christian community that confronts ignorance which perpetuates racism by living and ministering together in the name of Jesus Christ. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation and we will work to show that as Jesus, God is for us and not against us. Therefore we must be for each other. Eric Currently serves on the board.

             Duquesne Youth Athletic Association(DYAA)                                        

The DYAA was organized to create a vehicle for the youth of the community to showcase their athletic ability in multiple sports. Prior to the establishment of the DYAA, football was the only sport available for the youth to participate in. Since that time baseball and basketball have been established as mainstays in the community. Eric currently serves as the president of the board.   

  Steel Valley Authority                               

The SVA contributes to stable communities and renewed prosperity by saving and creating skilled and sustainable manufacturing and productive economy jobs through layoff aversion, responsible capital investment policy and building sustainable communities. Eric currently serves as a municipal representative. 

ACE Ministries 

ACE Ministries is a outreach program of the Empowerment Church. ACE ministries provides free afterschool programing for children in the West Mifflin Area School District. Children are provided enrichment activities, field trips, homework assistance and dinner Monday through Thursday. ACE has expanded their efforts to include two scholarships for graduating seniors of the West Mifflin Area School District beginning with the graduating class of 2019. Eric currently serves as the interim president of the board. 

We are a network of 90+ community-serving organizations who are committed to bringing together change-makers to positively impact the health & vitality of communities south of Pittsburgh. Our Vision: To create agile, healthy and sustainable communities for diverse populations throughout the Jefferson region while: Serving as an incubator for powerful ideas and promising practices, Improving the capacity of community-serving organizations , Facilitating group action on community aspirations. Eric currently serves on the Vision Council of the Jefferson Collaborative.

Our Mission: We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Locally, the Steel Valley Rotary Club sponsored projects to give college scholarships to graduating seniors, purchase dictionaries for Steel Valley students, and raise funds for the Carnegie Library of Homestead, MUSA and the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. The Steel Valley Rotary Club meets the first and third Tuesday each month at Noon at Mitchell's Fish Market in Homestead. Come and join us for lunch and see what the Rotary can do for you. Eric is the President Elect for 2019-2020 Fiscal year.

Transforming lives by ensuring and providing family and community connections for youth aging out of foster care! We want to build an environment that fosters and encourages youth and young adults to dream and give them the tools necessary to achieve their goals. We not only want to assist them with achieving their goals, we also want to create a family atmosphere that will give them a sense of family that they have been lacking in the foster care system! In addition to planning for their future, we have a entrepreneur track, that every family member participates in one of the LLC companies owned and operated by First Family Ministries. Eric currently serves as the president. 

The Mon Valley Providers Council (MVPC) is an alliance of human service and related organizations which are based in or have a substantial service presence in the Mon Valley. The MVPC serves as a formal network for information and resource exchange among human service providers in the Mon Valley. It involves its member organizations in Working Groups which address crucial issues in the Mon Valley in the areas of Employment and Training, Health, Housing, and Youth. These four Working Groups involve the participation of dues paying member agencies and over 250 staff members of those organizations. Through these standing Working Groups, the Providers Council promotes cooperation, coordination, and collaboration among its member and participating organizations in an effort to fill gaps in human services in the Mon Valley communities. Eric currently serves on the Steering committee for the MVPC.

HDMA is a collective of 27 churches located in the Hill District section of Pittsburgh, PA. The HDMA was established to provide a collective voice concerning social, economic and educational issues facing the residents of the Hill District. Eric currently serves on the leadership team of the HDMA.
