Eric is currently professionally engaged with Penn State Greater Allegheny, located in McKeesport, PA. Eric serves as the Director of Continuing Education/ Co-Facilitator of the Mon Valley Launchbox. Eric takes pride in developing meaningful and impactful relationships that bring value to all parties involved. While at Penn State Greater Allegheny, Eric has helped to bridge the gap between the community and campus. In the role of Director of Continuing Education, Eric has brought new life into the department by bringing new programs such as Drone Camp, Parent Empowerment Sessions, and workforce training at local schools for parents. In addition to his work with Continuing Education, Eric Also serves as the co-facilitator of the Mon Valley Launchbox. The Mon Valley Launchbox/The Penn State-McKeesport Community center is a small business incubator/accelerator and community resource center. Through his work in these two programs, four small businesses have been launched and more than 400 community members have been in engaged in programs. Below is a chronological resume:

Penn State Greater Allegheny October 2017-Present
Director of Continuing Education 
• Works directly with the chancellor to create revenue streams through continuing education.
• Establishes relationships with local, state and federal legislators to highlight campus programs and initiatives.
• Works as a part of the leadership team of the chancellor to ensure the campus serves as a catalyst for social, economic and educational change in the region.
• Represents the University on a boards and committees throughout the county to maintain a high level of awareness of the needs of the entire community.
• Co-facilitates the campuses small business incubator.
• Plans and implements programming for the Mon Valley Launchbox which helps entrepreneurs accelerate their business.  

Propel Schools February 2014-November 2017
Community Specialist
• Created connection between the Hazelwood community and the new Propel school in Hazelwood.
• Recruited new students to occupy the school to open in August 2014.
• Attended community meetings to asses where and how Propel could enhance the opportunities for the students and families.
• Assisted in the development of community initiatives that broaden the advancement of all the community partners.
• Assisted the Principal in identifying talent to fill open positions. 

Hill District Education Council January 2011-January 2014
Lead Organizer
• Organized and educated parents around current issues and challenges surrounding public education.
• Developed and implemented an outreach strategy to optimize the organization’s community support.
• Created and sustained relationships with community partners by building a consensus among community leadership.

• Developed and implemented the pilot program targeting academic achievement for elementary school youth.
